- How to Survive the Startup Apocalypse

Given that Sydstart was a huge success in 2015, we wanted to keep the momentum and create something spectacular. From the ashes of Sydstart comes Startcon. The not so generic marketer’s conference. Startcon is bold with our messaging. We take risks in our branding not many will take. We hate the status quo with a passion, and we want to be memorable in our patron's eyes. We do all this with the hope that all startups, businesses, and entrepreneurs that attend our event will be brave to do the same.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

With strict orders to make it look ironic, we utilised “My Little Pony” dot com as inspiration to help craft this masterpiece. Startcon 2016 has its own unique visuals with websites, emails, and assorted print marketing material all following the Unicorn Theme.

SUCCESS METRIC

Create and Launch Startcon.com with a new website and branding message.

ABOUT THE THEME

The theme may be a surprise to some but the irony of how it addresses a relatively taboo subject is all too relevant nowadays. With the downturn of the investor environment we wanted to address the question “How do I survive the startup apocalypse?”. In a time where unicorns have over-blown valuations causing panic amongst financial circles, what is a startup business to do? You do that by creating value in your product and finding product market fit of course. Also you can do that by going to StartCon of course.
